FAQ

The Answers You Need

Preparing for your appointment:

-Make sure to come with absolutely no eye makeup.

-Avoid wearing water-proof mascara up to three days before your appointment.

-Take out your contacts prior to your appointment

-Avoid drinking caffeine before your appointment (can cause your eyes to twitch, making application difficult).

-Wear comfy clothes and come ready to relax!

All of this and more will be emailed to you upon booking your appointment.

Do extensions damage your natural lashes?

When done properly by an experienced and certified lash artist, no!

Damage can be caused when the extensions used are too long and heavy for your natural lashes, or when proper isolation of each natural lash is not followed during application.

I will only ever use extensions of appropriate lengths and widths for your natural lashes and ALWAYS isolate each invidual lash.

Can I get my lashes wet?

Yes!

You may have heard you should avoid getting your lashes wet for the first 24 hours. This is old news. It is perfectly fine to wash your lashes the same day, and every day after application.

However, do try to avoid getting your lashes wet immediately  after application. This includes water, steam, sweat, spray tans, etc.

What methods of payment do you accept?

I accept cash, credit and debit tap! Please note debit tap can only be used for purchases under $100.

How long will it take?

The duration of your appointment depends on the service being done. Appointments vary from 30 mins to 2.5 hrs.

Can I still wear eye makeup?

Yes, but you may find you don't even need to! If you wear eye makeup (primers, shadows, eyeliners), make sure all of your products are oil free and that you are using water-based makeup removers. Anything that says waterproof is a big NO NO.

Also, ABSOLUTELY NO MASCARA!

(yes, even on your bottom lashes - sorry!)

How often do you have to get them filled?

Usually every 2-3 weeks.
How long your extensions last will depend on a multitude of factors including aftercare, skin type, skin care routine, etc. Additionally, we naturally lose 1-5 lashes a day and as your natural lashes shed, so will the extensions.

How come my lashes don't look like my friend's?

The resulting look of your extensions is heavily dependent on your natural lashes, and everyone is different!

Everyone has different lengths and thicknesses of lashes and this will determine what types of lashes can be used. Also, some people have very thick lashes while other have less. Everyone is unique which makes your lashes a truly custom look!

How many days before a special event should I book my appointment?

Ideally, I would reccommend 1-3 days before the event to ensure near 100% retention.
If you have had extensions before, any day until the day of is fine!
If you are new to lash extensions, I recommend nothing closer than 2 days before in case of the rare chance you have a reaction. (We don't want any red-eyes in wedding pictures!!)

Where exactly are you located?

I work out of my home in the North Kildonan area of Winnipeg, MB. I am very close to the Chief Peguis Trail, Henderson Hwy, HWY 59, and the perimeter.

Are you certified?

Yes!
I took my Micha Lash Certification in November of 2017 and took my volume certification in November of 2018. I took my lash lift certification through My Lamination in October of 2022.

Do you offer bottom lash extensions?

Yes, this is a thing believe it or not! I do not offer this service.

Do you carry "sensitive" adhesive?

I do not.
I use a clear adhesive which has been said to give off less fumes than a typical black adhesive however it is not formulated for clients with sensitivities.

Where do I park?

There is street parking conveniently located infront of the studio. See you soon!
